Kri
Kri is the goddess of maternity and child rearing. She is a Second Order Goddess and the acolyte of Benach.
History
Kri was born as Kriena, a Ki-rin, on Kultar. After fleeing the Antrexis War in 4199 SE, she roamed the woods of the Ecian Peninsula. Shortly thereafter, she found an abandoned pair of changeling children. She built them a hut, raised them, and when they were able to protect themselves, she sent them into the world, with her blessing. In time, they returned with their children. In this way, a quiet, secret refuge known to those in it as "The Community" formed, led by Kriena. Several decades passed before their refuge was discovered by explorers. While she was able to drive off the explorers, Kriena was fatally wounded while protecting her children. Benach saw the work she had done and ascended Kriena.
As a goddess, Kriena became an erdel, taking the form of a young changeling child and changed her name to Kri. She continued to look over her village, raising young children and sending them out to the world. Those who refuse to leave serve as caretakers for the children; those who venture out, Kri blesses as her warlocks. She likes to check in with them periodically, and experience new sensations from their adventures. She rarely actively offers advice at this point, choosing simply to express pleasure or displeasure with their actions. She does encourage them to bring their children (or other changeling children they discover) back to The Community. When Kri does communicate with her warlocks, she normally does so in dreams, as a child who guides the warlock through some shifting landscape. She normally uses a bell to guide them.
